Hey! Kieran here 👋

I’m one of the creators of Malachi Daily (pic of our family below)!

You just trusted us with your time and attention…We don’t take that lightly!

Before you read any of our emails, you should know how we got here…

Our (brief) story

I didn’t grow up in the church, but gave my life to Jesus 10 years ago.

Seven years after becoming a Christian, I realized I only knew 1 or 2 bible verses by memory.

I started to feel convicted, and God reminded me of a time that His Word drastically changed the trajectory of my life even without me intentionally memorizing it.

Needless to say, I decided to do something about it.

I wanted to start memorizing Bible verses, but I kept running into the same 3 problems:

1. I didn't know what to memorize
2. I didn't know how (nor did I have a process to stay consistent)
3. In the busyness of life, I would forget that I was trying to memorize Scripture

So I started working on the first version of Malachi Daily, mainly (and selfishly) so I could memorize Bible verses and learn what they actually meant.

Soon after that, a mutual friend introduced me to Isaac, who as it turned out, shared the same conviction:

We wanted to build a habit of memorizing Scripture so that our hearts, minds and lives would be formed by God’s Word.

So Isaac flew down to New Jersey and stayed with our family for a few days and it quickly became clear:

God brought us together to build a tool that could help others memorize Scripture too.

Back in 2023, Malachi Daily started with ~100 people who wanted to memorize Scripture with us (most of whom we knew personally).

Since then, this movement has grown to over 130,000 people strong 🤯

But since starting this newsletter, we’ve had the same requests come in over and over.

People wanted to:

1. Memorize in their favorite translation
2. Memorize any verse they wanted
3. Store and review their memorized verses in one convenient place

Sadly, we knew these things weren’t possible with an email format…

But we knew there had to be something more we could do to help people with their Scripture memorization habit.

So we got a (really) smart friend of ours named Aidan to help us build a mobile app!

It’s called Within and it’s the best tool I’ve ever used to memorize Scripture.

(here’s a preview of it in action) 👇🏼

Here’s what Within can help you do that we can’t do via email:

• Choose your bible translation (ESV, NIV, NASB, KJV and more)

• Memorize any verse you want with interactive games

• Store all of your previously memorized verses in one place

• Learn the verse context through daily devotionals you can read (or listen to)

• And much more!

No thanks, I’ll stick with the emails

Whether you choose to memorize Scripture via our emails or through our app, we’re excited to help you become more like Jesus!

In Christ,
Kieran, Isaac and the Malachi Daily Team 🙏
