Happy Wednesday, everyone!
We are halfway through the week. No matter how the week has been for you, it’s a new day. God is good.
Remember: If the full verse is too long for you to memorize this week, you can focus on just the last part of the verse:
And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14
CONTEXT 📕
Time to slow down and look at the original language. Esther 4:14 is loaded.
Let’s dig into some of the words and phrases to help us unpack what’s happening. The first one is a mouthful.
1. revach v’hatzalah (pronounced reh-vahkh veh-hahts-ah-LAH) — “Relief and deliverance”
These two words sit right before the famous line.
Revach means relief, breathing room, or a wide space. Imagine trying to breathe in a crowded elevator, and then stepping outside into the open. That’s the idea.
Hatzalah means deliverance or rescue. It’s the word used when people are pulled out of danger.
Mordecai’s point to Esther is that God will provide rescue.
With or without Esther, His people will find space to breathe again. That’s faith in God’s promises, even when the odds look impossible.
2. mi yodea (pronounced mee yo-DEH-ah) — “Who knows?”
This little phrase is packed with humility. Mordecai doesn’t say, “I know for sure why you’re queen.” He instead says, “Who knows?”
It’s an invitation. Maybe God placed you here for this moment.
This keeps us from pride (thinking we always know exactly what God is doing) and pushes us toward trust (believing He is doing something even when we can’t see the whole plan).
3. ka-‘et ha-zot (pronounced kah-ET hah-ZOHT) — “For such a time as this”
This is the heartbeat of the verse.
‘Et means “appointed time, season.” It’s not random. It’s a marked moment.
Zot means “this exact one.” Not another. Not later. Not someday. This.
Mordecai’s message?
Esther’s role, the timing, the opportunity — all of it was by design.
Esther’s life wasn’t an accident.
And neither is yours.
APPLY AND RESPOND 🏃♂️
A friend once told me about the day he stopped at a gas station and noticed the cashier fighting back tears. He felt that nudge: “Say something.” Normally, he would’ve ignored it.
But this time he asked, “Are you okay?”
That question opened a floodgate. She had just lost a loved one. He prayed with her right there by the counter.
Later he told me, “It was awkward. But maybe that’s why I was there.”
Here’s your challenge today:
Pick one small moment to step into courage. Don’t wait for a big stage or a perfect opportunity.
Look for the ordinary places like the office, the classroom, or the checkout line.
When you feel that nudge, whisper to yourself: “For such a time as this.” Then do something.
🙏 Pray
God, thank You for the relief and deliverance You provide for Your people. Teach me to see the moments You’ve placed in front of me. Help me step into courage, even if it feels small, knowing You have me here for such a time as this. Amen.

ANSWER KEY ✅
For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish.
And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
