Happy Thursday, {{first_name | everyone}}!
I don’t know about you, but I fall short in a million little ways every day. I worry. I lose my cool. I act selfishly. And that’s all before 10AM!

Keep the Light Burning
Last week, you heard about Lightkeepers, ExploreGod's 90-day prayer program fueling the work of Online Missionaries around the world. Today, we want to make it easy to say yes.
Right now, someone is scrolling with a question they're almost afraid to ask — and a real Online Missionary is ready to meet them with the hope of Jesus. Prayer is what fuels that work.
Just choose the focus God lays on your heart: seekers in hard-to-reach places, the spiritually curious, those waiting to hear about Jesus in their own language, or the Online Missionaries who walk alongside all of them.
You may never meet the people you're praying for. But your prayers help make sure no one has to search for God alone.

CONTEXT 📕
As we’ve seen this week, Galatians 6:9 talks of not giving up or growing weary, but to keep doing good.
This sounds great, of course, but what does it really look like?
I don’t know about you but when I’ve had a particularly long or difficult workday, it becomes hard to ‘do good’.
I can be irritable or snap at my husband, and then he asks, ‘Why the spice?’
When I get like this, I close my eyes, apologize, take a deep breath, and try a softer approach.
Jesus gives us something simple to hold on to when it comes to doing good:
And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
These teachings and life of Jesus are echoed throughout Galatians 6.
The focus is on loving God and loving people by:
bearing one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
putting others above and humbling ourselves (v3)
being generous with others — especially our spiritual teachers (v6)
sowing to the Spirit and focusing on eternal life (v8)
Consider how Jesus did all of this first:
He bore the burden of our sin to the cross.
He humbled himself in becoming human.
He was generous, hospitable, and welcoming.
He regularly withdrew from the crowds to connect with the Father and he taught about eternal life.
Hebrews 12 articulates how to not grow weary:
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.
We endure & persevere by fixing our eyes on Jesus.
The good news of the gospel is that Jesus has already walked this path perfectly for us.
He bore our sin, secured our salvation, and now strengthens us by his Spirit as we follow in his footsteps.
APPLY AND RESPOND 🏃♂
🤔 Reflect
Throughout his ministry, how did Jesus model what ‘doing good’ means?
🏃♂ Act
Choose a way to “do good” today and be on the lookout for an opportunity:
If you get worked up, breathe and look to Jesus.
If someone is going through something difficult, sit with them and bear their burden.
If you have a little extra, be generous with a colleague, neighbor, or family member.
🙏 Pray
Father, please help me remember the greatest commandment: to love you and love people. It’s not always easy to show love and do good to others. Would you enlarge my heart and fill it with more of your endless love? Turn my eyes to Jesus, especially when I start to get weary. Amen.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT 🔦
We’re doing something new with the community spotlight!
One of the biggest encouragements to me is hearing how God is moving in the lives of other people I know. It reminds me that God is active and moving every single day.
To that end, we would love to hear how God is moving in your life!

Today’s article helped me to refocus on what I need to continue doing, faithfully, despite a few momentary or perhaps long-term trials I might have to endure. My focus must be Jesus and Him alone and I must continue to serve Him and others with all the strength and power He gives me in my remaining days.

He gives me the strength daily to raise 4 great grandchildren, ages 3 to 13. At 72 years of age, the task is rarely easy but He is faithful to supply my needs.

ANSWER KEY ✅
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
